What the managed VPS includes
Every Cloud VPS plan includes these activities, performed by us and recorded in the operations log.
System updates
We keep the operating system up to date with planned interventions. Every activity is documented: you know who intervened and what was done.
Daily backup with restore tests
Daily backup with 14-day retention as an operational target, verified with periodic restore tests. We do not consider an untested backup reliable.
Base monitoring
We watch the VM's availability and resources. We handle infrastructure incidents ourselves, within the scopes and hours defined by the contract.
Assisted activation, after checks
The VM is created after the offer is signed, administrative and capacity checks are complete and the configuration passes acceptance testing: no instant, unverified provisioning.
Who does what
What is extra, stated up front
We prefer declaring exclusions on the page rather than letting you discover them on an invoice.
Paid control panel
Commercially licensed panels, such as cPanel, are a separate item and require a compatible x86 VM.
Windows and commercial databases
Commercially licensed operating systems and databases are not included in the fees: they are quoted on request, licences included.
High availability, quoted separately
A single node is not high availability. For critical services we quote redundancy, load balancing and replication as a dedicated project.
Specialist work
Development, application tuning, new configurations and complex migrations fall outside base management and are approved via a quote.
Managed cloud VPS: frequently asked questions
Is it a dedicated physical server?
No: it is a customer-dedicated virtual machine, with reserved resources declared in the plan. We do not sell cloud plans as exclusive physical servers, because they are not.
Where is the VM hosted?
In a cloud region in Milan, Italy, on infrastructure from a major international cloud provider. The offer, contract and support come from us, an Italian company based in Milan. If you have requirements on where data or backups are located, include them in your request and we will state them in the offer.
What is the difference between ARM and x86?
They are different, non-equivalent architectures: some software, including cPanel, requires x86. Every plan label declares the architecture and, when in doubt, we verify your stack's compatibility before sending the offer.
Can I get an unmanaged VM with root access only?
Not today: we only offer VMs with base management included, because an unmanaged offer requires separately defined responsibilities, patching and support. If you have this need, let's talk: we assess it per project.
Are backups covered by an SLA?
No: daily backup with 14-day retention and restore within four hours on a standard environment are operational targets, not contractual SLAs. We verify them with periodic restore tests and document the outcome.
How does activation work?
You send a request from the configurator or the contact form and receive a written offer with price, renewal, inclusions and limits. Once signed, we run administrative and capacity checks and acceptance-test the configuration: we prefer a controlled activation over an instant but unverified one.
Is support included without limits?
No: incidents and requests have scopes and hours defined in the contract. Anything beyond base management — development, new configurations, specialist work — is quoted separately and approved first.
